ARMENIAN SPEEDWELL Veronica armena

Native to Turkey and Eastern Europe, the Armenian Speedwell forms a low carpet of soft needle-like evergreen leaves. Round bright violet-blue flowers appear early in the season each with a tiny white eye. Beautiful addition to a rock garden, alpine trough or rock wall, or along the edge of a path or border. Drought tolerant once established. Easily increased by dividing in early spring or early autumn.

Germination: Tightly press the small seeds onto the surface of a sterile seed-start mix. Rapidly germinating. Keep the seed in constant moisture (not wet) with temperatures of about 20°C (68°F).
