WEISMOOR MIX CAPE PRIMROSE Streptocarpus

SKU: 1104-10

Description

Compared to other Streptocarpus, the Wiesmoor plants tend to be large and floppy, and the flowers can be enormous, with many exotic patterns and colour combinations. They require cooler temperatures than some of the other hybrid lines.

Streptocarpus are easy houseplants, grown similar to African Violets. They can be placed in morning sun or winter sun, but otherwise should be grown out of direct sunlight. Streptocarpus seeds germinate well. They are extremely small, and so should not be buried (see germination instructions below).

Seeds per pack: 10

Safe: Considered safe, non-toxic to children and people!

Germination: Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. For best results, obtain a sterile seed-start mix, and place the seeds on the surface of the pre-moistened growing medium. Do not cover the seeds, as they require light to germinate. Place out of direct sunlight, but in a bright location. Keep moist until germination, using a spray bottle as to not disturb the seeds. You can cover the container with clear plastic if you wish, to retain moisture until germination until you see growth. Remove the plastic once they start to grow, which can take up to 30 days.
