GIANT RUSTY FOXGLOVE Digitalis ferruginea gigantea

Huge towering spikes of orange-brown flowers reach up to 2 meters tall! Each flower has a unique white 'lip'. These plants are very hardy, and are true perennials, lasting many years or forever.

Seed size: Foxglove seeds are small, though these seeds for the Giant Rusty Foxglove are about double the size of the seeds for the traditional-sized rusty foxglove (which we also offer).

Germination: These seeds are easy to germinate! They can be planted directly outdoors. Simply rake the ground, sprinkle seeds, and water in. Do not bury the seeds, as they require light for germination. These seeds perform best if started during cool spring weather, or in late summer to early fall. To plant indoors, place the seeds on surface of your growing medium, and water. Keep moist until germination. Once seedlings emerge, place the pot in a sunny place, or under bright grow lights. New seedlings like slightly cool weather while they are very small.
