GREEN TWISTER CONEFLOWER Echinacea
The large flowers begin chartreuse green, and then become mainly pink with green tips!
This is an extremely popular perennial plant for good reason. Strong stems produce a multitude of flowers over many weeks from summer through fall. Plants are disease and drought resistant, and are a favorite of butterflies and other pollinators! Plants form mature thick clumps that can be split (if desired) and used around other areas of the garden.
Type: Hardy perennial
Location: Traditionally prefers full-sun locations, though we have plants in mostly-shady locations and they still bloom and do well.
Hardiness zones: 3-9
Bloom time: Summer through fall, for many weeks!
Seeds per pack: 5
Germination: This plant is easy to germinate. Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Place the seeds just under the surface of your growing medium. Keep moist until germination. Once seeds emerge, place the pot in a sunny place, or under bright grow lights.
