WHITE ALPINE STRAWBERRY Fragaria alpina alba
An ever-bearing white strawberry that stays white when it's ripe! Forms a tidy clump with few runners! Just as sweet and juicy as red strawberries. Possibly fewer birds eating them as they cannot find them!
Type: Hardy perennial
Hardiness zones: 5-8
Height: 15-23cm
Location: Full sun
Seeds per pack: 5
Germination: Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of a sterile seed-start mix. Water the seeds in. Cover the container with plastic, and then place the container in a cold place for 4 weeks. Then bring them to warmth (room temp) and they will grow in a few weeks. Alternatively they can be planted outdoors in very early spring when it is still cool out, as long as you are able to keep them continually moist.
