Liatris scariosa, called savanna blazing star, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Liatris, native to the US states of Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. It is fire-adapted, and its seeds germinate if they detect chemicals from plant smoke. It is a perennial herb that grows in dry woods and clearings. The flowers are large, and are held on sturdy stems!

These seeds are very rare and in limited supply.

Seeds per pack: 10

Germination: Sow the seeds just under the surface and water in. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Keep at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. These seeds are known to be a bit slow to germinate, and should be up in about 21-60 days, but could take as long as 90 days for some seeds.
