This bright yellow flowered lupin is rarely available! Lupine Golden Yellow is an annual wildflower native to California, and carpets hillsides along the Pacific coast. The golden-yellow, sweet-pea like flowers bloom profusely in summer attracting hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Also makes an excellent cut flower. Easy to grow.

Seeds per packet: 10
Soak the seeds for 6-12 hours before planting. Place just under the surface of the soil and water in. Keep in a well-ventilated location for germination. Temperature 20-22C (68-72F). Seeds germinate in 14-60 days.
Sometimes lupin can be susceptible to "dampening off,? which is a term used for rotting of the young plants. There are extra measures that can be used to help prevent this. (1) Surface sow the seeds, and then covering them with a 1/4" thick layer of perlite. (2) Use a soluble fungicide.
Ornamental use only. These seeds and or plants are poisonous.
