It produces showy pink to lavender flowers, with red interior, and is known for its late spring to early summer blooming period. The pretty cup-shaped flowers are a lovely herald of summer, and are native to Canada and the USA. They can be used in flower beds, borders, containers, rock gardens, and native plantings. It is a cool season plant and will tolerate temperatures below freezing. In the wild, this plant can be found growing on dry slopes, meadows, or rocky areas.
Common names include farewell to spring, godetia, or satin flower.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday. On Sunday I got a notice that my order had been shipped! The seeds were in my P.O. box on Friday. Such amazing service. It’s too early to comment on germination rates — I’ve just started the stratification process today.
