Stunning double Lisanthus in light-apricot! Lisanthus are often grown as annuals or houseplants, though are hardy perennials in zones 8-10. Seeds are pelleted to increase ease of planting.

About pellets: Pelleting is a coating that is sometimes applied to small seeds, to help with handling and sowing. Once the seeds are sown and watered, the pelleting is designed to immediately disintegrate to release the seeds.

Type: Perennial, or can be grown as an annual in cold climates

Hardiness zones: 8-10

Location: Sun or part sun

Seeds per packet: 5

Germination: Sow the seeds on the surface of the soil, and water in. Do not bury the seeds as they require 16 hours of bright light to germinate. Use added lighting to be sure daylength is sufficient, ideally placing fluorescent lighting 2" from the surface of the soil until they are growing. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Temperature warm 22-26 C, 70-75 F. Seeds germinate within 20-35 days.
