Pole bean or scarlet runner is an easy growing vegetable, great as a climbing plant on trellises.  Takes approximately 65 days to reach maturity from seed.  The string-less tender pods are delicious when harvested and cooked young. Keep harvesting beans to ensure plant keeps producing new red or scarlet coloured flowers.  Younger beans will be more tender.

Germination: These seeds are easy to germinate. Sow outdoors after last frost in the Spring or when soil reaches 16 degrees Celsius.  Plant them approximately 4 cm (1 1/2") deep.  Space approximately 20 cm (8") apart.  Should germinate within two weeks.
