California poppies are popular for their finely-cut fern-like foliage that stays fresh all season long, and of course, those vividly colored blooms that cover plants all season! The common colors for this poppy are orange, and sometimes yellow, but this new red color is rarely seen! An amazing uncommon twist on an old garden favorite! Plants like full sun, and are drought tolerant, and tolerant of poor soils.

Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Keep continuously moist. Temperature 20-22C, 68-72F. Germinates in 10-30 days.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday. On Sunday I got a notice that my order had been shipped! The seeds were in my P.O. box on Friday. Such amazing service. It’s too early to comment on germination rates — I’ve just started the stratification process today.
