Centaurea jacea, brown knapweed or brownray knapweed, is a species of herbaceous perennial native to dry meadows and open woodland throughout Europe. It produces purple flowers mainly from June to September. The flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators. The plants are suitable for natural landscaping and low maintenance plantings.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday.
