Drosera venusta is a subtropical species endemic to South Africa. Color ranges from deep-red, if given enough light, to green. Forming compact rosettes of spatulate shaped leaves. Often older, lower leaves die back, forming a skirt-like appearance, leaving the newer, healthy leaves to grow on top.
