Description

The dandelion is actually one of the most useful herbs around. The flowers are used to make dandelion wine, the greens are used in salads, the roots have been used to make a coffee substitute (when baked and ground into powder) and the plant was used by Native Americans as a food and medicine. It promotes bile secretion and supports the liver.

These seeds are grown and harvested by us organically.

Type: Hardy perennial

Hardiness zones: 3-10

 Seeds per pack: 10

Germination: Direct sow from early March to early September. Optimal soil temperature for germination: 10-25°C (50-75°F). Do not bury the seeds as light helps to break dormancy. Seeds take 14-24 days to germinate. The flowering process begins 56 to 105 from sowing, and continues for the life of the plant. Be careful not to plant more than you can use, as the flowers need to be controlled so that they don't become an unwanted weed.
