Used fresh or dried in salsas, chutneys, marinades. This is the standard variety which ripens to a fiery golden-orange or red. Thrives in hot sunny spots, a little on the dry side.

Germination: These plants should be fairly easy to germinate! Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Place the seeds just under the surface of your growing medium, and flatten the surface. Keep moist and warm until germination, which can take about 3-4 weeks. Once seedlings emerge, place the pot in a sunny place, or under bright grow lights. Pepper seeds require an early indoor sowing, especially if you live in a cool climate.
