Astragalus canadensis is a common and widespread perennial known commonly as Canadian milkvetch. The plant is found throughout Canada and the United States in many habitats including wetlands, woodlands, and prairies.
The flowers are whiteish in color, sometimes considered greenish-yellow. The flowers bloom between the months of May, June, and July. It is used as a food source of Bumblebees, honeybees, and other bees use the plant for nectar.
It is a somewhat toxic perennial herb. Ornamental use only.
