Description

This tall white Nicotiana (Tobacco Flower) is a stately accent plant in the garden. It grows about 4-5’ tall and about 2’ wide, and produces long fragrant white trumpet flowers. Absolutely stunning at twilight as the bright white flowers seem to glow in the dimming daylight, and the fragrance is most noticeable as it lingers in the quieting evening breeze. Highly recommended.

Height: 4-5'

Location: Sun

Type: Annual

Note: Ornamental use only. These seeds and/or plants are poisonous.

Germination: Start seeds indoors in late winter or spring, at temperatures of 70 degrees F. Your planting container should have holes at the bottom for drainage, with a tray below to catch excess water. Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of a pre-moistened seed-start mix. Do not bury the seeds, as they require light for germination. Keep moist until seedlings are established. Watering can be done from the bottom tray, allowing water to wick upwards. Alternatively, watering can be done from the top using a spray bottle, as not to disturb the seeds and/or small plants.
