The flesh is crisp, red, sweet and juicy with very few seeds. The thin hard skin turns dark red when fully ripe. About 8-10" round fruit.

Not many people know that watermelon can be grown in northern climates! They are grown similar to cantaloupe and muskmelon.

Germination: Start indoors, seeds require 5-10 days at a soil temperature of 24 C (75 F) to germinate. Do not start outdoors in spring as with lower night temperatures, germination will be inhibited. Then plant outdoors once the chance of frost is past. Water during dry weather.
