Bright-red stalks and red-pink flowers! Rodgersia is a robust, herbaceous perennial growing to 90 cm tall. The star-shaped flowers, are borne in summer. Though it grows quite well in somewhat dry soils if provided some shade, R. Pinnata is useful as an ornamental ground-cover plant for the margins of streams or ponds. The plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society-s Award of Garden Merit.
