A unique and fast-growing castor bean with showy black-red foliage, and unique red seed pods! Grown as an annual as it is fast growing and makes a bold statement in the garden. Works well in planters also, providing a tropical look to balconies and patios. Note these plants, especially the seeds, are extremely poisonous! This black-leaved variety seeds are very rare and in limited supply.

Germination: Plant about 1/2" deep, and water in. Keep in a warm location, or on a heat mat. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination. Most seeds germinate within 30 days, though some stragglers may take 60 days.
