Description

A unique offering, these African Violet seeds produce a large majority of plants  whose flowers are bi-colored or have fancy markings, streaks, or edges!

The African violet is a widely cultivated household indoor plant, but can also be an outdoor plant.

Saintpaulias, which grow from 6–15 cm tall, can be anywhere from 6–30 cm wide. The leaves are rounded to oval, 2.5–8.5 cm, finely hairy, and have a fleshy texture. The flowers are 2–3 cm in diameter and grow in clusters of 3–10 or more on slender stalks called peduncles.

The African violet is a day-neutral plant regarding flower development.

The genus is most closely related to Cape Primrose (Streptocarpus).

Seeds per pack: 10

Note: African violet seeds are extremely small. Do not bury them for germination. See germination information below. The seeds so very extremely tiny, we use reading glasses to pack them in wax envelopes. If you order please be okay with knowing it's the way that legitimate African Violet seeds are. Thank you :-)

Germination: Start these seeds right away for best germination rates. Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Sow the seeds on the surface a sterile seed-start mix and water in. Do not bury the seeds as they require light to germinate. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Keep at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. Seeds germinate in 20-60 days.
