Description

This is a variegated form of the popular houseplant! The seedlings will show variegation that is white or cream colored. The flowers can be pink, violet, or white. As the plants mature they will show more and more of the variegation. Most of the plants are standard plant size, and a few of the seeds are from miniature variegated plants. Plant size will range from 6–15 cm tall, and 6–30 cm wide.

Typically, the African violet is a widely cultivated household indoor plant, but can also be an outdoor plant. It is a day-neutral plant regarding flower development.

The genus is most closely related to Cape Primrose (Streptocarpus).

Seeds per pack: 10

Note: African violet seeds are extremely small. Do not bury them for germination. See germination information below. The seeds so very extremely tiny, we use reading glasses to pack them in wax envelopes. If you order please be okay with knowing it's the way that legitimate African Violet seeds are. Thank you :-)

Germination: Start these seeds right away to preserve viability, no matter the time of year. Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Sow the seeds on the surface a sterile seed-start mix and water in. Do not bury the seeds as they require light to germinate. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Keep at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. Seeds germinate in 20-60 days.
