Germination: Start seeds indoors 6-10 weeks before the last frost date. Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of the soil and lightly water in. Then cover the seeds to keep them in darkness for 5-7 days, or until germination begins, which can take up to 20 days. Be sure to check regularly for germination and remove the cover promptly. Bring the growing seedlings to a sunny location. After the last chance of frost, plant these seed directly in the place where they are to grow, being careful not to disturb the roots (try to keep the root/soil ball intact).
