Extremely attractive to bees and other pollinators! The flowers bloom mostly in summer from June to August in the USA, though bloom time can vary from spring to fall, depending on the climate. It is an attractive flower for gardens, and also work's well naturalized at woodland edges, and in open areas.
Prunella vulgaris is a perennial herb native in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and is common found growing in most temperate climates. This herb also grows in Kashmir where it is known as kalyuth. It is boiled in water, which is used to wash and bathe in order to relieve muscle pain.

Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Temperature 20-22 °C (68-72 °F) for 4 weeks. They may be growing at this point. If they have not germinated after 4 weeks then a cooling period is required. Cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 4 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the stratification period they are then brought back to room temperature for them to germinate. Germination can be 30-60 days after the warming period, though some can take longer.
