The aromatic aster, is a rare and beautiful herbaceous perennial, scented, and distinguishable from other Aster by it's unusually large flowers! It's compact form allows it to easily be integrated into gardens. Plants are easy to grow, and are drought tolerant. The plants are native to parts of eastern and central United States. It is found in parts of Kansas, Ohio, northern Illinois, hilly parts of southern Illinois, and on the banks of the Mississippi River and Illinois River, as well as other parts of the central United States.

Surface sow as light aids germination. Water the seeds in. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 6-8 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification period they are then brought back to a bright room, but out of direct sunlight. Temperature 20-22C (68-72F). Germination is generally 14-45 days after the warming period, though some can take longer.
Ornamental use only. These seeds and or plants are poisonous.
