Western Spiderwortchoose to carry this Spiderwort because of it's plentiful and large vivid-blue flowers, it's blue-green Daylily-like foliage, and it's extreme ease of growing. Two foot tall plants are extremely drought resistant, and tolerant of poor soils. Makes a beautiful addition to a drought resistant garden, or in areas that receive extreme heat. This plant is native to savannas and drier prairies, yet is hardy enough to withstand freezing winters to zone 4!

Germination: These seeds are fairly easy to germinate, just requiring a little time! Place the seeds just under the surface of the soil, and water. Keep at 68 F to 86 F (fluctuating temperatures are ideal), and moist until germination. They germinate in 4-8 weeks generally. Place outdoors once big enough to handle, and grow in a sunny location. Once established they are drought tolerant.
