Description

The Pacific Giant delphiniums are some of the tallest delphinium available. The mix includes pinks, blues and white. Plants are perennial, which means that they will endure throughout the seasons, without replanting. Grow them in a sunny location.

Note: This plant family is known to have toxicity. The ingestion of these seeds or this plant can cause serious illness or death.

Type: Hardy perennial

Hardiness zones: 4-9

Seeds per pack: 20

Germination: Start these seeds right away to preserve viability, no matter the time of year. Sow the seeds just under the surface of a sterile seed-start mix, and water in. Leave them at room temperature for 4 weeks. If no growth appears a cold treatment may be required to break dormancy. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 6 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification period they are then brought back to room temperature for them to germinate. Germination is in 14-45 days after the warming period.
