Description

An extremely versatile evergreen shrub with a spreading habit. It has broad, yellow-margined leaves, and are tinged pink in winter. It makes an excellent specimen shrub, a low informal hedge or an ideal climber on walls. An AGM winner.

Type: Hardy shrub

Hardiness zones: 5-9

Height: 50 cm to 1 metre

Location: Sun

Note: Ornamental use only. This plant and/or seeds may be toxic.

Seeds per pack: 3

Germination: As soon as you receive these seeds, plant them on the surface of a sterile seed-start mix. Place the pot in a clear plastic bag to help retain moisture, and then place them in the fridge for 4-6 weeks for a cold stratification period. Then bring them to warmth. They may still take a few weeks to grow, or a couple of months. Keep lightly moist the entire germination time. They require some patience, though are well worth the wait!
