Opuntia phaeacantha is a species of prickly pear cactus known by the common names brown-spine prickly pear, tulip prickly pear, and desert prickly pear, which is found across the United States and Mexico.
The plant forms dense localized thickets. It has a mounding habit of flattened green pads which are protected by clusters of spines.
The flowers are bright yellow with a pale green to orange or red center, and occasionally may produce flowers of other colors such as orange, pink, or magenta.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday.
