Beautiful sky blue to deep blue flowers blooming in April. Will self-sow and form mass plantings. It mixes well with other bulbs and, if planted in a partial shade location, will thrive and spread quickly. Don't wait too long to add this beauty to your garden. Native to Greece and parts of southeastern Europe, Turkey, Lebanon, and Syria. Rare seeds.

Germination: Start these seeds right away to preserve viability, no matter the time of year. Sow the seeds just under the surface of a sterile seed-start mix, and water in. Keep moist for 90 days. They will not grow yet. Then a cooling period is required. Cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 90 days. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold-moist stratification period they are then brought back to room temperature (20-22 °C, 68-72 °F) for them to germinate. Germination is in 14-60 days after the warming period.
