This variety of Angel's Trumpet has huge orange blooms! Flowers continue to be produced the entire growing season.
Brugmansia are frost tender, so do not expose them to cold. If you live in a colder region, bring plants indoors for the winter, and place in a sunny window. They overwinter well, and are easy to care for (we have been bring our plants in for many years, and they can easily be cut back to maintain size).
The close up images of the flower are from our plants in the garage in December!
Do you know the difference? Angel's Trumpet's (Brugmansia) are different than Datura. Angel's Trumpets grow much larger and taller, up to 10' tall or more if you have a frost-free climate. If you live in a colder climate, plants can easily be grow in pots, trimmed back heavily, and taken indoors for the winter (to the surprise of many of our US customers, we do this at our location in Canada every year!). Angel's Trumpets also have larger (huge) flowers, and the flowers hang downwards. Datura flowers are also large, typically point upwards, and plants and flowers are large, though smaller than brugmansia. Datura plants last one growing season and then are done their cycle (die). They are considered annuals.
Type: Perennial
