Deep-red rose-like large flowers are produced in abundance on these tuberous begonias! The branches cascade to 16" long! Begonia plants are ideal for or part . Tuberous begonias have an added appeal that they form large tubers that can be lifted in the fall, and stored for the winter! Pot-up bulbs in the late winter or early spring for next years flowers! Seeds are pelleted, which is a special coating that makes them larger for easier handing. The plants grow to form a bulb. In warm climates they are perennial. In cold climates the bulb can be lifted in fall and stored for the winter, to be used for next years flowers!

Type: Perennial 

Hardiness zones: 8-11 outdoors. In colder climates bring bulb indoors for winter.

Location: Shade or part shade

Moisture: Regular to moist, does not like extended periods of drought.

Seed size: Pelleted

Note: These seeds and plants can be harmful if eaten. Ingestion can cause illness such as vomiting or diarrhea.

Seeds per pack: 5

Germination: Start these seeds early indoors. Place on the surface of a sterile seed mix (do not bury them), and keep moist and warm (75-80F) until germination. Do not let the soil dry out, or it can end the germination process. A soil-mix formulated for starting seeds is important for begonia.
