Found growing wild in much of North America, the Eastern Red Columbine is an extremely attractive columbine, with not-often seen bold-red color in a columbine! Flowers bloom in spring, providing nectar for hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. These plants are extremely tolerant of dry and sandy locations, and thrive in full sun or shade. They grow wild in our southern area of Canada (Ontario) in an old gravel quarry! Plants will self-seed and naturalize if allowed, but do not become invasive.
