Note: Only the ripe tomato fruit is edible. All other parts of the tomato plants are poisonous if they are eaten, including the non-ripe fruit.

Germination: Tomatoes are very easy to germinate. Plant 4-6 weeks before the last frost date, in a sterile seed start mix, just lightly covering the seeds. Germinate at 75F. Keep the soil moist until germination, which occurs within 2 weeks. Plants should be placed in a sunny window, or under grow lights until they are to be planted outside after the last frost date in your area.
