
EMPRESS OF INDIA NASTURTIUM Tropaeolum minus
Brilliant crimson-scarlet flowers with blue-green foliage! This variety quickly became a Victorian favourite. It is still popular today both for garden flowers, and also in the kitchen for use in salads and as a garnish. Easy to grow in a sunny or part shaded area.
Nasturtium plants are often grown as annuals, though are perennials in zone 8-11, re-growing each year!

Germination: Obtain a planting container that has holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Place the just under the surface of the soil and water in. Keep lightly moist until germination. Can be planted 4 weeks early indoors, or direct sow outdoors after all chance of frost is passed.
