Description

Very attractive evergreen perennial grass with bright red foliage! Grown primarily for their colorful, grass-like leaves, the plant also produces spiked brown to black flowers on narrow spikes from mid to late summer. Forms a tidy clump. Grows well in regular or moist soils. Brings valued colour all season long!

Type: Hardy perennial

Hardiness zones: 6-10

Height: 30-40cm, 12-16"

Location: Sun or part sun

Seeds per pack: 10 (previously 5)

Germination: Start these seeds indoors right away for best germination rates. Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Sow the seeds just under the surface a seed-start mix and water in. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Keep at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. These seeds are known to be a bit slow to germinate, and should be up in about 21-60 days, but could take as long as 90 days for some seeds.
