PERSIAN EVERLASTING PEA, PERENNIAL SWEET PEA Lathyrus rotundifolius
A rare and beautiful rambling or climbing vine that is perennial, returning each year bigger and better than before! These gentle climbers will work their way through a fence, or can be naturalized easily, and forms large drifts of deep-pink flowers for many weeks and months throughout mid to late summer. Drought tolerant. This plant has won the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Germination: These perennial seeds germinate at different times over a long period. Temperatures of less than +5°C (41°F) are very effective. Constant moisture must be maintained. Keep out of direct sun until after germination. For these bigger hard-shelled seeds, mechanical damaging of the shell is helpful for quicker swelling. One method is to grind the seed in dry sharp sand.
