Beauty and an intoxicating fragrance! Sweet mock orange, or English dogwood, is a deciduous shrub growing to 3 m (10 ft) tall by 2.5 m (8 ft) wide, with extremely fragrant blooms. It is a sweetly scented white blossom suitable for temperate climate cultivation as ornamental plant for gardens. It blooms in spring, and tolerates cold as well as heat and drought. The mock orange blossom, said to resemble the smell of orange blossoms, has been used in modern perfumery and as potpourri.

Sow on the surface of the soil and water in. Do not bury the seeds. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 4 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification period they are then brought back to room temperature 20-22°C (68-72°F) for them to germinate. These seeds require light to germinate. Germinates in 30-60 days after the warming period.
