Description

These flowers are a deep red-rose color! The most red of the Arabis. Rock cress are popular and easy to grow perennials, ideal for rock gardens, or at the front of the perennial border. Plants become completely covered in blooms in early summer, making it difficult to even find the leaves! This is a favorite of butterflies and pollinators! Plants are tolerant of drought once established.

Type: Hardy perennial

Height: 6"

Location: Sun

Hardiness zones: 4-9

Bloom time: Late spring and summer

Seeds per pack: 20

Germination: This plant is easy to germinate. Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. For best results, obtain a sterile seed-start mix. Slightly cover the seeds, and keep moist until germination. Once seedlings emerge, place the pot in a sunny place, or under bright grow lights. These seeds can also be planted in the location that they are to grow, be sure to keep them constantly moist until plants are established.
