Makes an excellent house plant or patio plant! These plants have become increasingly difficult to import into Canada. It is one of the most commonly cultivated tree ferns as an ornamental plant. Easy to grow. It is used in gardens and public landscaping. It is one of the hardier tree ferns (zones 9-11) or can be used on the patio seasonally.  Can tolerate light frosts. The plant prefers protected, shady moist conditions but can be grown in sunny areas.

The 'seeds' of this fern are actually very tiny spores. Customers have reported excellent results regarding the germination.
