Description

This heirloom is probably the most popular variety of tomato for home gardens, and for good reasons! This tomato is not just a beefsteak type, it is the true named 'Beefsteak' heirloom tomato!

Beefsteak tomatoes produce large fruits weighing between one and two pounds, with a meaty flesh and small seeds cavities. The flavour is sweet and refreshing. Beefsteak is an ideal slicing variety, as the fruits can get large enough to cover a whole slice of bread with a single slice. A tomato sandwich lover’s favourite!

Note: Only the ripe tomato fruit is edible. All other parts are poisonous.

Germination: Sow up to 4 weeks before that last frost date in your area. Place the seeds just under the surface of the soil and water in. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Keep at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. Seeds germinate in 7-20 days.
