An extremely ornamental Passion Flower Vine with large bright red flowers! The vines grow to 6m (20 feet), or can be pruned to be kept smaller. The plants are hardy outdoors in zones 9-11, or they can be grown in a sunny window or greenhouse. Also useful in hanging baskets!

Seeds per packet: 5
Soak seeds in water for 12-24 hours before planting. Place seeds just below the soil surface, and instead of using water, use orange juice to moisten the soil. The acidity of the juice will help soften the outer layer of the seeds and aid germination. Place the container is a warm location 25C (77F). A heat mat is beneficial. Germination can occur within 2 weeks to several months. Patience may be needed, though they are well worth the effort! Once seedlings sprout place the pot in a sunny location.
This plant species is known to have toxicity. Ornamental use only.
