Our favorite large heirloom tomato, and one that is used by growers as a traditional beefsteak. Large and smooth fruit.
Seeds per packet: 15
Starting these seeds indoors in late winter, spring, or early summer. Soak the seeds for 12 hours before planting. Place the seeds just under the surface of the soil and water in. Keep continuously moist. Temperature 20-22C, 68-72F. Seeds germinate 10-30 days. If seeds are received in fall, store in the refrigerator until the soonest chance that they are able to be planted.
Only the ripe tomato fruit is edible. All other parts are poisonous.
