RED FLARE WATERLILY

This is as red as a tropical Water Lily can get, with huge 7"-10" flowers held high above the water! Flowers are extremely prolific, with a single plant producing 7 or more blooms at a time! The large deep reddish-bronze foliage is gorgeous too, with serrated tops, and purple undersides. This is a great plant for beginners.

Plants are hardy outdoors in zones 9-11, and can be treated as an annual in cooler climates, or brought indoors for the winter. On spring, place plants into the pond once water temperatures are above 70F.

This Water Lily begins to bloom in the later afternoon and throughout the evening each day, ideal for those who are at work during the day, and want to see their Water Lillies bloom when they are home!

Type: Perennial waterplant

Hardiness Zones: 9-11 planted outdoors, or treated as an annual, or brought indoors for the winter in colder climates.

Location: Sun

Seeds per packet: 5

Germination: Place the seeds in water. Germination is 4-12 weeks. Once the seed sprouts, plant it just under the surface of the soil, in a pot. Gently submerge the pot in water, with the water level about 1-2" above the soil level. The leaves will form over the next few weeks. Grow indoors for several months, and then plant outside the next spring after the change of frost and cold weather are far gone. If it is too cold in spring they will go dormant.
