Bay, also known as Bay Laurel, Bay Leaf, Grecian Laurel, Laurel, Sweet Bay, or True Laurel, is an aromatic evergreen tree or large shrub is native to the Mediterranean region, where it was used as a symbol of highest status. Today it is more commonly known as an herb used in a wide variety of Mediterranean recipes. It is also widely grown as an ornamental plant, used in topiaries or for low hedges.

Bay seeds are extremely rare to obtain, and are in very limited supply.

Location: Sun

Hardiness zones: Outdoors hardy zones 8-10, or grow indoors as houseplant.

Seeds per pack: 3 Large seeds

Germination: Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. For best results, obtain a sterile seed-start mix. Soak seeds 12-24 hours before planting. Place the seeds just under the surface of the mix and water in. Germinate at 20C/68F. Once seeds emerge, place the pot in a sunny place, or under bright grow lights.
