This is a pre-order for spring delivery. Once ordered the plants are reserved for you until shipping time.
These plants can produce a mix of flower colours which could include white, green, yellow, peach, orange and red flowers. They are not individually labelled.
With a minimum temperature of 10 C (50 F), in temperate regions Clivia is normally cultivated as a houseplant. In warmer sites, it can grow outdoors and is used in landscapes for its attractive evergreen foliage and showy flowers. This clump-forming plant spreads via rhizomes and is particularly suited for shady areas, and is a popular plant for shady areas and is commonly seen growing in older established suburbs particularly in California.
Clivia produces long, arching, strap-like leaves growing to about 45 cm (18 in) long. The showy flowers are funnel-shaped, sometimes with a faint, but very sweet perfume.
Mature Height: 20", 50cm
Location: Shade or early morning sun
Current size: We ship 2 young plants a few months old (sorry we cannot say the exact size as it is continuously changing and varies per plant). Shipped bare-root.
Plant in any standard tropical or houseplant mix. Water in and then keep only lightly moist. Do not overwater as Clivia can be susceptible to rot in wet soils.
Ornamental use only. These seeds and/or plants are poisonous.
