Description

Syringa reticulata, aka Japanese Tree Lilac, is native to eastern Asia, and is the largest of the family, growing up to 49' tall. It produces creamy-white fragrant flowers in broad panicles in early summer. It's a popular ornamental tree in Europe and America, as it's easy to grow and tolerates urban conditions well.

Very rare seeds. Limited supply.

Type: Hardy shrub

Location: Sun

Hardiness zones: 3-7

Seeds per pack: 5

Germination: Start these seeds indoors right away for best germination rates. Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Sow the seeds just under the surface a seed-start mix and water in. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Keep at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. These seeds are known to be a bit slow to germinate, and should be up in about 21-60 days, but could take as long as 90 days for some seeds.
