Aristea ecklonii is known by the common names blue stars, blue-eyed iris and blue corn-lily. The plant is an evergreen perennial with small, blue flowers, growing in clumps with upright, grass-like leaves. Blooms from April to December.

Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 6-8 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification period they are then brought back to room temperature 20-22°C (68-72°F) for them to germinate. Germinates in 30-60 days after the warming period.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday. On Sunday I got a notice that my order had been shipped! The seeds were in my P.O. box on Friday. Such amazing service.
