This is not just any blue Penstemon, 'Electric Blue' is almost iridescent, mesmerizing and drawing your eyes to it! This is a first-year blooming perennial, blooming 16-18 weeks after sowing, and blooms continue throughout the season. Penstemon are easy to grow and care for plants.

Germination: Start these seeds indoors right away for best germination rates. The planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Sow the seeds on the surface of a seed-start mix, and water in. Do not bury the seeds as they require light to germinate. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 6-8 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold-moist stratification period they are then brought back to a bright room, but out of direct sunlight. Temperature 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. Germination is generally 14-45 days after the warming period, though some can take longer.
