Lysimachia monelli, the blue pimpernel or garden pimpernel (formerly known as Anagallis monelli) is a low-growing perennial with trailing stems.

In cultivation in temperate regions this plant is often grown as an annual as it grows quickly, though it is a hardy perennial in zones 8 and up. It has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

Germination: These seeds are fairly easy to germinate. Sprinkle them on raked ground in the location that they are to grow, or start early indoors. Water the seeds in. Always keep the soil moist until the plants are established, and especially during germination.
